Investment advisor William Donoghue vacationed in Sonoma County for 25 years before paying $359,000 for a two-bedroom condominium in Foss Creek Villas in Healdsburg last year. Mr. Donoghue, whose main home is in Seattle, says he too wants to stay and will retire in wine country. “Healdsburg is a charming small town (population 11,000), yet it has live jazz six nights a week, fine restaurants and 38 wine tasting rooms. And it’s only a 10 minute drive from the Santa Rosa Airport,” he says.
“Sonoma County is the ideal place to decompress and not give up the great delights of life, friends, wine and music,” says Mr. Donoghue.
